Stress is the body and mind's reactions to life incertainties and to our own inner insecurities; repeatable and reinforced over time.
"Positive self talk", "thinking positively" or "thinking to act differently" are strategies that may appeal to our sense of logic and reason to control stress however in our hour of need these strategies can desert us.
A alternate approach is "acting to change our thinking"; acting by experiencing relaxation of the body and mind, and acting by acquiring a repertoire of life skills (for example, assertive communicatin and coping strategies) to proactively use in stressful circumstances.
